OUR STORY

ABOUT DAVID

Imagine a 13-year-old kid in Italy, fresh out of compulsory school and absolutely itching to create. That was me. I chose art school because I wanted to shape metal into sculptures. Life had other plans: my parents, being missionary folks, couldn’t afford the tuition. So, at 13, I pivoted straight into a jewellery workshop in Sicily, learning the craft from a master and working on beautiful 18-karat gold and coral pieces. We were the go-to workshop for major Sicilian jewellers.

Then came a move to England, where I continued my journey, first in Bedfordshire and then in London’s famous Hatton Garden. Over the years, I went from apprentice to full-fledged jeweller, eventually heading to the Birmingham School of Jewellery to really hone my design skills.

In 2005, with a bit of help and a lot of passion, I opened my own shop in Blandford. For a long time, I focused on traditional styles to make sure my family had everything they needed. But now that my daughters are grown, I’ve turned toward my true passion: creating sculptural, one-of-a-kind jewelry that reflects individuality and the way I see the world. Each piece is a bit of my journey, and I can’t wait to share that with you.

ART AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

For me, true craftsmanship is a conversation between art and skill. Every design begins by hand – forged, carved, and shaped using the same traditional techniques I learned as an apprentice in Sicily. I work slowly and deliberately, allowing each curve and texture to reveal itself through the process. The materials I use are chosen with care: recycled gold, responsibly sourced stones, and tools that have shaped metal for decades.

This mindful approach connects me to the piece as it takes form – and, in time, to the person who will wear it. Each creation carries both a story and a soul, made to be cherished for years to come.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to create jewellery with meaning — pieces that feel alive and personal, shaped by the stories and emotions of the people who wear them.

For me, jewellery begins with listening. Each bespoke commission starts with a conversation, a shared vision, and the careful transformation of ideas into something lasting. I combine time-honoured goldsmithing skills with thoughtful design to make jewellery that is both beautiful and deeply connected to its owner.

Looking to the future, I’m committed to keeping true craftsmanship alive while exploring new artistic directions — creating timeless, expressive pieces that hold personal significance and can be passed on for generations.
